We are the softball division of Stafford Little League, most of our games are played down at Hyde Park.
Although we are affiliated with Stafford Little League we do all of our own fundraising, purchasing and have our own board to oversee everything. The league provides for uniforms and equipment. The players are only responsible for a glove and Cleats.
Last year we had over 140 girls playing softball in 3 different Leagues:
Minor league for ages 8 -- 11, play most of their games at Hyde Park
(Games normally scheuled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and a couple of Saturdays)
Major League for ages 11 + 12, play other local towns so some travel necessary.
**There are try outs for the 11 year old girls but all 12 year olds should play Majors. Games normally scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with an occassional weekend game.
Senior League for (ages 13 -- 16, play other local towns so some travel necessary.
Games normally scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with an occassional weekend game.
Both the Majors and Senior leagues will be playing teams from Coventry, Ellington, East Windsor, Tolland and Somers which make them great stepping stones for girls who wish to play High School Softball.
Volunteers are always welcome so please sign up online during registration or come visit us at one of our registration dates (TBD).
Over the past couple of years we have made huge upgrades down at Hyde park for the girls to enjoy. We have added new dugouts, bathrooms, safety netting, addtional fencing, a concession stand and others, So please come check out the best kept secret in town and play FAST PITCH softball down at Hyde Park.
